That's very interesting way of supporting fuselage skin.It reminds me of several (mostly failed ) attempts of model designers to use ship building methods in aircraft.Your way is far easier to do while still effective and (most importantly) a whole lot lighter.

I second need for silver/alu version.

Regarding camo: I read somewhere that camo used on aircraft flying in one range of speed is usually ineffective in other set.Some sets of camo serve purpose of disrupting shape of machine rather than conceal.There is always an issue of weight of paint-lighter shades are usually lighter than darker ones.New paints have different chemical make up to resist fading,reflections,peeling,damage etc.

There are tons of reasons why we don't see much of WW2 type of camo anymore.My favorite-someone gets paid for coming up with new excuses to blow money whether there is a need or not.
