It's a foil-covered cardstock from
CutCardStock about 80# weight, I think. As Billy Leliveld described it, I reversed the images from the model and printed them on the backside (white paper) of the foil cardstock. I used pinholes to mark the placement of panels, handholds, and such. It was easy to work with and fingerprints and glue spots can be polished off with a damp cloth.
You might find something similar at a scrapbooking store or art supply shop. If all else fails, I have an unopened pack of 25 letter-sized sheets that I'll never use. (I was going to do the SM in foil until I realized that was not correct.) PM me if you're interested. I'll charge less than I paid.
Aleen's Tacky Glue (my usual sticky stuff) will stick to the foil but not very securely. I used WeldBond glue on the foil for a stronger bond -- the same stuff I use for gluing plastic canopies to paper.
