card is bendy
Once the cardstock is glued to the board i cut it with a heavy shear. The result is bent by the shearing forces of the cut.
No problem though. You bend it back as you glue. The stem section is inserted onto the middle and glue together.
When the whole thing is finished we're ready to start adding the outer two layers...which is where all the fun details will happen.
