I finally got around to completing one of the two engines. The model comes with the Rolls Royce Trent 700 engines but I preferred to have the General Electric CF6 engines instead so it required an extensive modification. (Airbus offers a choice of either Pratt & Whitney, Rolls Royce or GE engines on the real A330). The Rolls engine has a continuous fan bypass cowling from tip to tail whereas the GE engine fan bypass cowling is shorter and the core duct protrudes and is visible. I used the existing cowling from the RR engine and dissected it to create the GE cowls as seen in my photos. I added aluminum tape to the core cowl to give it that polished look. The pylon that came with the model also needed work to get it to coincide with the new engine. Added a small GE logo to complete the look.
