Let me make it clear, I don't generally support the idea of scanning, printing and building (any paper model).
Scanning just so you can build and save the book, is not kosher, if you ask me.
I do support the idea of scanning a model so you have an emergency backup...in case you need replacement parts.
but I still think you must build the original.
In this case, its quite a unique and rare model that needs to be saved,
so I suggest save over build. (Unless you can get a second copy.)
But its because I think it is such a rare model
and I don't think its a very good model (for its scale),
that I am suggesting it might be better built at a much reduced scale.
And because I know Ruben...
he has already shown his respect for copyrights and authors
and he would not scan and build, so that he could resell the book.
