Step 2 continued:
In all, I found just seven drawings - among them a few very low res. so called three view plans. At long last we found the gold at the end of the rainbow: a very high resolution plan with sharp lines, scale 1/8 inch to 1 foot. Equal to 1:96. And very important: excellent cross sections for fuselage and wings.
Of course scales of various drawings are all different - combining information takes a lot of applied mathematics; but we now have all the basic information.
