I would have no argument if you declared
the Artist placed a "Production Tag" on the firewall of the Auto.
Just like a real car might have.
It states "Ellen (vehicle model...maybe a relative?)
12 (cylinders)
V (Vee engine)
11.11.45 (referring to the production date of the artwork)
Its definitely a 40s style car, but being French, not necessarily a US model.
V12 is a pretty uncommon US engine.
