That nose on original was probably some kind of fiberglass/plastic idem made on the mold,I'm sure making one same way for model will be fine.
Petal nose on one I made is done entirely with petals.Because it's so large it was actually pretty easy.One in your kit looks harder.
Btw-is this Yak the last pure gun equipped bomber interceptor Russians had?i'm not sure if Mig-19 was an interceptor from the start,rocked equipped Mig-17 PM and Mig-19PM definitely were but F models I think were frontline fighters.
