Looks like another excellent project. I am eager to see you build this one and will be watching closely.

I have always liked the T-6. In the mid-1950s I lived near a civilian aviation mechanic serving with the Maryland Air National Guard. The 104th Fighter Squadron (Fighting Orioles), 75th Fighter Wing, was based at Harbor Field (now long gone) in downtown Baltimore. I used to accompany him to work and spend the day looking at airplanes, including watching the ANG pilots shooting landings in T-6s and F-51H and Ks. Sometimes I sat in the cockpit of one of the T-6s.

Dave Winfield kindly produced a model of a 1950s MD-ANG T-6. Paper Model Shop Aviation Paper Models - AT-6 TEXAN Aircraft Scroll down to the fourth line.

I intend to build it in 1/48 this summer, and what I learn from you will be very helpful.
