I will not use the wood nose for this kit. It will be a plug and I will vacuform a nose out of PETG plastic .
As for ballast, this airplane has what is called a bicycle landing gear in the fuselage ( front of the CG, and back of the CG ), so for a model it makes no difference as to the ballast. Just some trivia.
