My son took my wife and I to see this tonight as my birthday gift. Got a bit emotional, having served in the 8TH (but not that far back).
I think it was very well done. A good third of my 3400 book library covers WWII history and I think they summed the American airman experience in the ETO very nicely, given the time limitations of theater viewing. I had an uncle that flew with the 8TH in WWII, but he never talked about it. He became a USAF bomber test pilot, after the war, but her never talked about that either.
