Are you building a gear up model? If so, ignore my next question.

Have you checked the rib spacing on that frame?
I only ask because you used balsa (thicker) material for the frame parts).

The added blocks are for mounting the landing gear.
If the frame is too wide, the blocks will be useless.
You could be drilling into the ribs themselves.
I did this once, and split the ribs open.
I had to soak everything in glue and redrill the landing gear holes.

Just check your measurements and see where the gear will mount.
If need be, you might have to add something to both sides of the Ribs.
And soak them in glue for extra strength.
Then you can drill directly into the rib (if need be).
