As I've been dabbling in light construction work, I've had a "water proof" writing pad for years. I recently found the
Rite In The Rain paper. It can be printed on a laser printer or on a copier, but is pretty legit. Not sure how well it would work for models, but I've seen color laser printed on it and it looked nice. I would think that if you had a decent color copier, you could print a model on a good ink-jet, then copy it onto the water-proof stuff on a copier.
