I gave the model a base coat, then started doing a variation of panel modulation and postshading on the top of the model. My hope is that this adds to the pop of the panels when viewing from a distance.

The underside just uses some postshading using a greener / darker shade of red, the underside will be heavily weathered with oil streaks and battle damage, so I think this shading will help.

The next steps will be to add a protective coat of varnish, then start on the engine parts, battle damage and insignia.
