Cheers Don! I like the look of it too. At the moment I am just chipping the edges, but I am thinking of adding some mid-panel chipping, mostly streaks from the leading edges, as if shrapnel scraped past the plane at speed. Also some direct hits from enemy fire.
The hard part for me will be to find the fine line between too little and too much, and resisting the urge to not just copy the damage from left to right ie. make the damage symmetrical.
It is sometime hard to keep things properly random
