Cool Reverse canopy making

I have one of Yoav's canopies for this Fouga. However, I would like to build another version in the future if someone repaints it with the 1967 blue and brown color scheme armed with machine guns, rockets and small bombs. So until that time, I will need another canopy. So I decided to make my own mold so I can vacuform one in the future.

Here is the original vacuformed canopy

what you need is Plaster of Paris ( or equivalent )

oil

and a support stand for the upside down canopy

coat the inside of the canopy and drain the excess

mix the plaster to a thicker soupy consistency

pour the plaster into the canopy

add a wood pedestal on top ( this aids the vacuforming release process later on )

wait overnight for the plaster to harden

remove the mold ( the oil will allow it to just slide out ) ; you may repair if needed any small bubble voids.

here is the mold ready to vacuform when needed.

that is all.

Did I hint for a camouflaged Fouga version?
