You are right about the model not being correct. Looks off scale sort of.
However, this is a fun build and why not.
I built the Modelik Yak 17, 17W trainer as well as the Yak-23 in silver. All are better representation, but the rendering of those models is basic and rather dull. All need a repaint.
I think a green colored Yak-17 would be nice.
