Well, surprisingly for me, I like both movie Hellboy version. Barbour Helllboy character is more like comics as airdave said, but for me Del Toro movie visual style and athmosphere is closer to comics.
I realy do not like new Baba Yaga depiction from new movie. Not the look, but the moves she has. But could be becuse I am from middle europe and we grow up also on Russion fairytales
Yaga from Hellboy comics is much much closer to traditional depiction of her. Actualy very close.
And the fact that profesor is badass monster hunter himself is something that I can not accept easily.
I do not understand bad reviews of new movie.
