Ok, this weekend was a piece of cake.
First, I took my Me-262 Stormbird and went ready to disarm all the nose that I felt wrong. But it was just the nose gear door, that was inverted, and the cannons section that was sunk. Some cut and remodeling, and... ready!
Of course this camera doesn't help, I'm waiting for my good one to return from Dominican Republic to publish a set of good quality pictures, this ones feel like "look for the most pixelated and horrible contrast posible, and save the picture with that setting"
Second, I'm assembling a Piper Cherokee, and I took some time to paint it in white, and place the propeller.
Third, last weekend I started a Pierino Primaversi P-51, with a custom, hand made repaint. This weekend I continued the assembly
I made an internal reiforcement using a plastic model as guide, but, Primaversi made it's Mustang fuselage a bit wider by the wings. So, if you do the reinforcement, don't glue it, BUT anyway put it inside because it's necesary.
I placed a plastic cockpit, wheels, scape tubes and ventral air intake in the model. How I came to have so many unused parts of a P-51D, it's a guess. I suppose it happens when you have been assembling plastic models the last 30 years.
I'm painting the model weatered, with smoke and oil streaks in nose and guns.
About the internal landing gear doors, some PICTURES show them open, some show them closed. So I decided to close mines.
