Both airplanes are Mach 2.0 fighters.
The Saab 35 enter service in 1960 and the mirage 3 in 1961.
The mirage has a better top speed of mach 2.15 vs mach 2.0 of the draken.
The draken has a better climb of 39000 feet per min. and the mirage 20000 feet per min. The mirage can operate better from unprepaired runways and for that reason the Swiss air force choose it.
The draken was produced in hi number as 650 were build while the mirage 3 about the same but - the draken didn't fire in anger and the mirage big success in 1967 was proved by shooting 60 arab planes.
Later the mirage particepate in various combats in Pakistan and Africa.
