The engine inlets on the Hunter were very similar to other British 1950's and early 60's designs in that they were incorporated into the wing inner section as a continuous blend of the wings into the fuselage. The D.H Vampire, the D.H Seahawk, Sea Vixen, the V series bombers and many more.
So the challenge for the builder is to mate the side inlet/inner wing to the fuselage as well as the outer wing itself. So lets start.
Inlets:
Recall that I cut the stub frames from the fuselage construction to ease that process.
Now re attach it by gluing it back in place.
add the strips to attach the inlet boundary layer separation plate.
glue the inlet in place
add the boundary layer plate ( notice the proper orientation ).
both inlets are now glued in place.
