Of course, there were also pilots and navigators in other squadrons, but in limited numbers. Amongs them was best Czech fighter ace, F.Lt. Karel Kuttelwascher, legendary "Night Reaper" (20 kills) in 1st Squadron (his Hurricane I'd prepare, too). And you're right that there were not too many night fighters in compare with day fighters or bomber crews.
Hi Gerry. Several Czechoslovak pilots were serving in 255. and 96. RAF Night Fighter Squadron as well.
