Hi folks many thanks for the input and the best wishes.

Work progresses with the main deck elements. I have concentrated on the parts that will be covered by the bridge and gun deck. Aligning the hull sides should be easier with these parts in place as they will provide reference points for fixing.

I started by cutting out and gluing the deck runners.



These were cut in sections to make the gluing easier and edge-coloured witha gold sharpie to simulate the brass fixing strips.



The bridge structure was reinforced with 0.5mm grey-board as this was going to be the main reference for attaching the hull sides.
