Interesting that in the reference photo on the first page the gunner is clearly facing forward - presumably he was expected to turn around in the seat to do navigation, radios or other duties when not engaged in defense. Another interesting feature (thanks Wikipedia) is that the bomb aimer would slide himself underneath the pilot in order to aim the torpedo through a window, hence the speaking tube visible in the cockpit photo and why the torpedo is carried at an odd drooping angle. That can't have been great for aerodynamics.


This is a lovely model of an elegant-looking aircraft and having dabbled in scratchbuilds I'm impressed by how neat this has turned out. Excited to see how you make the canopy...hoping for it to be fully glazed and retracted.
