Turrets
I don't know which fit is the best, regarding the way the paper model was designed, but, regarding the armoured turrets building process of the real steel stuff, the cover plate, much thinner than the vertical sides, rests upon the thick sides they are riveted to, so the latter do not encircle the top plate. Rather difficult to work out well with paper, however.
