Ending the nose of the P-38 has been easy. Even the "Scat II" art was easy to make.
So, in this pictures you can see the metalic oval inside the engines, used to see the main wheel from the cockpit, enabling the pilot to check if the landing gear is well deployed. We are talking about a plane that has TWO mirrors to see the nose strut, and three lights under the cockpit that allows the mechanic to check the same... I don't know, something smells fishy here?
The last two pictures let you see how I check that the nose balast is enought before instaling the main landing gear. Just a ruler placed were the main struts will go. Remember that I still haven't placed the last layer of paint.
About the Stranraer, the tail reinforcements are made, and just two parts remain to do before ending the first sheet and starting the second one.
