Chris, the instructions are on the back cover.
Usually this stuff falls under "Uwagi ogolne" meaning "general notes".
In this case, he uses * per 0.5mm ...

I've never seen 4 *'s before, so this guy is quite a character. They're really not consistent between models so I always try to read what they say. Sometimes it's hidden in the text.
Honestly though, being skimpy on cardboard I sometimes use thinner stuff in these MM kits and they end up fine. 2mm is a really hassle to work with and is sometimes unjustified in my mind.
Maybe I should be starting something soon too...
