North American X-15 A-2
Hello Modellers, now I bring to you not an every day X-15. This is the second X-15A and was remodeled after a landing accident. Its fuselage was lengthened 74 cm, it was equipped with additional fuel tanks and it received an anti-heat treatment on its surface. The plane was named X-15A-2 and made its first flight on June 28, 1964, reaching a speed of 7,274 km / h (2,021 m / s). With Pete Knight at the controls.
Still to be built is the landing gear and a ram-jet leading to the lower tier.
But above all, it is necessary to build its Mother Ship: the NB-52 "Balls Eight"
The other images show B-52 fuselages in 1/150 scale (gray) and 1/100 scale (camo). I retake them after more than a year stored.
Details are missing but here it goes.
I build it based on Bruno's S&P 1/300 model upscaled at 1/100 and 95 gr/m2 Opalina paper. There is also a 1/100 not free version of S&P $1.00 USD.
And not forget the fabulous X-!5 by Henry Yuen here into the Downloads section.
Fiddler's Green has also a black version of the X-15 in companion of his B-52. I buyed Nobi's B-52 at 1/100 scale recolored by Rata, but I'm not trying it.
Best Regards, Tony.
