I will need to check my sources later when I have time, but it has been my understanding that the GP59 and GP60 were slightly longer by a few inches. This may have been due to the (at the time) new 710 model engine (versus the 645 that was in all the other models).
Also, one should note that ARR #3011, as pictured by Diederick, has been heavily modified from its original appearance and is not an example of a "typical" GP40.
