JSC Conrad 1/400 scale

Hello all, on with another build. I am starting to make a dent in my stash of JSC kits, so on with this one. A 'D' class cruiser, HMS Danae, of WW1 vintage and transferred to the Polish Navy in 1944 and renamed Conrad.

The kit is of the usual high standard of JSC kits, simple and intuitive building, with good quality printing and good detail. For all their simplicity, I still have difficulty assembling the hull structure, so I have reinforced the decks with 1mm card. I have also made a base plate to stop the hull sides from warping. Belt and braces I know, but the JSC kits are easy to replace and strengthen the under-elements.

Work progressed rapidly and this is the result of an evening's cutting and gluing.

.

More soon.
