Well chums, after a busy festive period, it's back to the bench. Hope you all had a great time and that Santa was good to you. Apparently there was no naughty list this year, so that's probably why I had a bumper-haul from JSC.
Anyhoo, I had a productive couple of sessions scratch-building masts, stays and gun barrels.
This image shows the bridge elements in place. I have added spray screens, and various bridge accoutrements from rolled paper rods and disks. The rangefinders have rolled paper bases with the black parts from single core wire.
The tripod mast is from plastic rod, but the top-mast is turned from brass rod. The parts are just tacked in place at the moment to check for fit and alignment, before fitting spars.
I must note that at this stage, the kit parts fitted perfectly to the given dimensions of the templates.
