You're right.
At least until the end of 1941, the Whitleys flew over Central Europe. For example, the first attempt to land parachutists of the Anthropoid group in Czechoslovakia (October 1941) was made with Whitley, but due to bad weather over the target, the aircraft had to return. It wasn't until December that the landing was successful, but Halifax was already carrying it.
I am very happy that the finally usable Whitley model will be available, as well as in a scale that can be well reduced to my favorite 1/72. I will definitely buy it!
