DD-793 update

Hi All;

One element, while involved in this undertaking, is the fact that no matter how carefully you work, it always pays to build what you design. That way you discover what works and what doesn't. For example, the original design of the rotator tables for the turrets did work, but the center pin was weak and easily gave way under handling. So design number two was tried. In that case, the center pin was much stronger, but the bottom ring was too narrow and difficult to glue. If the glue was applied to the outside of the rings, everything held together and the assembly worked, but if the glue was attached directly to the ring, it froze the pin. The third attempt is workable and can be glued either way. Actually they all work, but if you aren't awfully careful, frustration comes too easily. Here is a photo which includes all three versions. Careful perusal will show you why the third option is the better choice.
