I find it quite hard to redesign / recolour Zio planes. Some of them have a graphic quality to the colouring which almost looks like pencil drawn. And frankly, with this one I do not really care. I think there are little mistakes in a couple of his designs, I found for example that the engine cowling of the DH.82 didn't fit as-is over the fuselage nose end. I had to cut a little bit off of the nose part to make it more tapered. And sometimes the indentations in a fuselage are not coming together as they should, so then I just add a little strip behind them and do it by hand.
These Zio planes are improving by just fumbling and keeping moulding them with your fingers until the parts are glued together. (The best one I think is how the fuselage of his Spitfire blends into the wings. That is just wonderfully done without having to make extra wing chines.)
