After removing the wrinkled wing, I had a new set of left and right wings printed on
210 gsm paper ( which is heavier than the normal 160 gsm used ). I still had a good right wing, but the color mismatch would have been obvious and thus Two wings of the same print phase are used.
Here is a comparison with the original wing colors and the new wings which are lighter.
I added a small wood stick to the trailing edge to stiffen it and prevent warping.

I had to trim the wing root because, it did not fully conform and left exposed areas on the bottom. That area will be attended to later.

Now both wings are on.
At this point, I decided to just work on the model as is with minimum effort.
Based on that decision, I elected not to incorporate the separation of the leading edge slats. If I ever build another F-86, it would have the slats for sure.
