With regards to the tyres, might I suggest some combination of the following:
- Adding treads (yes, this is hours and hours of fiddly cutting...)
- Sticking on the tyre walls text of the tyre manufacturer and the inflation/size information usually found moulded on them. You could just find a picture of a real tyre, adjust the size and brightness to match the model and just print out six of them
- Weathering with a bit of chalk or ink to simulate dirt and brake dust
