but not really answering his question as asked...?
I don't use Paint.net myself, but according to another Forum:
"To answer the original question, no, there is no way to import a PDF. You can print-screen, or save it as a different image file."
There was also a suggestion to use a Bitmap convertor and create a Bmp which can be imported into Paint.net
If you "Print Screen" you can create an image that will paste into a Paint.net document.
And then you can save it as another type of file.
