Along the birding line, I have held two wild birds in the last month, the lake froze over and a goose too weak to fly was out there, I ended up catching him/her and transporting to the unfrozen river about 5 miles north (kind of a long story how that was done). Then a few days ago a Pygmy nuthatch hit the window, I decided to draw the little fella even though it looked as though it might have a neck injury, so drew some pictures, while it slowly perked up and eventually looked good enough to release in the yard
. It gives me some satisfaction...and is always a thrill to see a wild bird up close.
