I know what setbacks like that are like. I have had to redo models many times for many reasons. You are right though, it does get easier when you do the same model over again. Not only that, but you also find things that you can do to improve the model or make changes or adapt it for something else.

So do not give up. You are doing a GREAT on it. I am greatly looking forward to seeing the finish project, as well as be able to build one of my own.

I was just looking at this thread today, as I am starting a build of this model for my father-in-law for Christmas (though not quite as ambitiously modified as your version!). I was awed when I saw this thread last month, and I hope that you'll start the project back up. This is truly astonishing and inspiring work.

Well, it's time to get back to work on this. I've been spending a *lot* of time working on my car, and I've gotten to the point where I have to take a break from it for a while and find something else to occupy my time for a while. I'm in the process of swapping parts from a car that I bought for that purpose into my daily driver, including the engine. It amazes me how much rust a 19 year old car can get. What's even more amazing is that my daily driver is almost 25 years old and has very little rust, if any at all. That's the difference between having a car live it's whole life in Florida (rust), and the other in Arizona (no rust).

Back to the point. I've printed out the sheets to rebuild the Jumper, along with my modifications, and it's time to see how well they all fit together. More updates after the holidays, when I've had time to work on it.

I am glad to hear that everything is ok and back on track.

I hope every thing goes well with your car. I know what it is like to rebuild a car and how much of a pain in the arse it can be.

Looking forward to seeing the final outcome.

Have a happy holiday.

urgh... something went horribly wrong. Somehow, my new files aren't the same size as the originals. I'm trying to sort it out and figure out what went wrong. Mine are slightly larger than what they should be. I'll figure it out, even if I have to redraw everything.

Wow. I was just thinking about this project the other day, wishing I had the time and energy to finish it. Now here it is, several years later. In that time I've started a new job, my wife had a major bout of depression and attempted suicide, on top of her car accident lawsuit and now we've got a pending bankruptcy case. I just haven't really been in the mindset for anything like this.

If anyone would like to continue this project, send me your email through a PM and I'll email you the files I made.
