I think I have it figured out

Box (A) attached to bottom of engine fits inside track (C) on inside of door. When engine is slid upward, top of (A) hits bottom of stopper (B) to prevent engine from completely coming off track.

Just needs a little reinforcement with heavier card, and everything works perfectly.

That is a FANTASTIC IDEA!!! You are doing a really great job on this. I am impressed with your work. I am looking forward to these upgrades. I will implement them in to the Puddle Jumper I will build soon.

Since the back of the bench seats in the rear compartment will be flush with the interior of the drive pod bays, everything that extends into the rear compartment will fit underneath the benches. Instead of having 3 individual benches on either side, I'll reconfigure those to be 1 long one. The tab that sticks out, which is what pulls everything out of the bay when the doors are open, will sit underneath the floor, and thus be hidden.

Okay. Now that that's all figured out and out of the way, I can continue with designing the interior

Thank you, very much for making this model. With your permission, I would like to publicly release my final additions when they are complete. Would you have any objections?

Will

Here's what it looks like with the rear bulkhead, and bench seats (hand drawn) in place, and how the drive pod mechanism fits.

Cleaned up a little bit, exterior back in place, starting to look a little more familiar now.
