"Neck" and Shuttlebay ready

Not much left to do: connecting the inner shuttlebay part to the inside of the bay door, turning the whole thing around, taking a picture and: voila! the next section is done... so far...

Phenominal build so far!

Can't find a place for it? I think I could clear some shelf space over here.

Dontīt you worry, guys - I will find a place, thatīs for sure! The "problem" is, that all the really good places already are occupied with something (not only papermodels) - so I will need to find other places for the other stuff... and so on...
But - "donīt sell the bears skin before itīs shot", or something like that? Actually I am fighting, ah, building the wings...

Is hanging it on the ceiling out of the question? Seems like a lot of unused real estate that could go to hanging Voyager when she's finished. Maybe put the ship in one of the corners of the room.

This part took itīs time...
Before to start building the stern together, I attached the windows and the extra parts. The big picture shows the parts to be attached next.

Stern and wings: upper side

After a while I found an answer to the question how to build it...
Befor I attached the mid-part, I fixed the part which later is ment to support the warp nacelles. Itīs easier to attach before you need to take care of the rounded wing mechanism.

Stern and wings: closing the wings, front and back

Suddenly I noticed that there is no flap on this little corners on both wings (marked green)... but there is enough flap left from glueing the wing mechanism which can be used.
After closing the wings I attached the back and front side, and now itīs time for the down side of the stern.

Stern and wings: impulse engines

Already when I build the 1:1700 version of the Voyager, the "impulse engines" where no easy part to attach. In any case it didnīt went out worse than expected...

Stern and wings: done

Before attaching the "impulse engines" and the phasers I found out that a support is needed to stabilize the space between the upper and down side of the stern.
Fortunately I had the right thing at hand... (okay, it could be 0,1 mm thicker, but I donīt think this is something which will be noticed at all).
After the stern is done I will continue with the warp nacelles (and I am nearly sure it will be horrible and complicated...).
