Wow! thanks alien99. I feel like Michelangelo just offered to help me paint my living room ceiling!:D

Seriously, I appreciate the offer (I'm flattered :o) but if this is on your to-do-list maybe I should just quit now .

I love the work you have done on the Aliens franchise and like everyone else here, look forward to the completion of the Sulaco. It's going to be HUGE in so many ways!!

There is certainly a lack of reference material for this ship. There are Greg Broadmore's side elevation and Isometric drawings (which are fantastic) and I have loads of screengrabs from the film. There was also an article in 3DWorld #123, but I have not managed to get hold of that yet. Maybe the new Weta, District 9 Art book will have some pics in it too.

I just have to get my finger out!... (Oh, and coax 250GB of files from a failing hard drive on my main PC..all the papercraft stuff is backed-up though!)

Again, many thanks for your offer

I have some files from that 3DWorld 123 magazine. Especially few picture files containing blueprints...so you can make your dropship more accurate...or you can wait for me....but it will be in next 2years :D

If I'm not mistaken, I thought that issue of 3DWorld came with a disk that had the 3D model on it (complete with textures)? I was short on cash at the time and wasn't able to pick it up.

I think we all should bow at your feet Jan, as a true Papercraft God. I mean, you are busy finishing your (the) papercraft masterpiece, the Sulaco, creating a new website to house the monster, several other projects, and then you offer your assistance with another designer and their project. You sir, RULE!
