According to the source page it is the spaceship Black Shark from the American film collaboration, "Battle of the latitude 0" (U.S. title "LATITUDE ZERO").

And the director of that movie was responsible for several classic "Godzilla" films, as well as collaborated with Akira Kurosawa a couple of times.
