X-wing in 1/48, another one

As some of you know, X-wing is my obsession and I have never enough of started projects... so, take a look at what I'm preparing now.

Fuselage modeled in Wings3D (very easy to learn modeling tool), unfolded in Blender, textured in Gimp, arranged in Inkscape and build in real-life:

The "wingcage":

Buttplate:

Cockpit (missing details - to be done later):

Texture inspiration: Red 3 X-Wing Studio Model
Something taken from photos, something is just my imagination - I'm trying to achieve the beat-up look.
I'm trying to glue it as precisely as I can, but sometimes I mess up and don't further bother with it, since it's just a beta build and textures don't match on some places anyway. But the parts itself are precise enough, so any builders which invest enough time in the model should get a nice result.

Yes, but in different color scheme - more white, no green panels, darker red, nose with the same color as fuselage etc. Volunteer for beta test? :D

The texturing is spot on! Congrats! I'm really looking forward to this one going public. Do you feel that your texturing/designing would lend itself favorably to an up-scale...say in the lines of 1/24 (or larger possibly)?

Thank you both! I don't see any problem with up-(or even down-)scaling; the parts are created as vectors and I use a quite high resolution for underlying textures (the texture on the 3rd image is not the full size - it's downscaled to ~40% actually). I want to use a slightly lower resolution for textures next time to speed up the work, but it should still be enough for 2x upscale. Only thing to mind then would be to use a 2x thicker paper too, as I was counting with 0.1 - 0.15 mm thick paper on some parts - mainly on the laser cannon.

It will be (hopefully) ready around christmas. Only thing that's left to design is the wing and moving wing-holding armature that goes into the fuselage, and I already started working on both.
