Back Again!

After very few months (1,5 year) i decided to build my ship further. Last time I´ve trouble to build the sphere canoopy or sphere gun. So I decided to make a brake before i get to much frutrated and throw it all away.

Meanwhile I have some ideas how to make this glas spheres. I make some semispheres of tranparent foil or plastic. But it still does not fit exactly to the rest of the sphere. The solution will follow next week. But first I´ve to make some photos of my progress building the rocket system above the two wings of my REPUBLIC GUNSHIP!!!.

So stay tuned! Pictures will follow next days!

Jacek

Hi, i still make the ARC LAAT from PR.com, I have the same problem making the spheres, but I solved making the semi spheres in paper, then fill with plaster then when dry make a termophomer like say Dyanus, but when I put in the plastic spheres in the paper spheres their small, maybe is a design problem. I solved put the small semesphere in the inner side, and the big in the outside, the union is cover by paper and it's invisble.
I use the same technique for the canopy, but i make the whole canopy and paste the correspondiente parts to the windows, then fill whit plaster and then make the model whit termophormer, then paste the paper canopy over the plastic

My english it's the worst :D, if you don't understand please say it, and I send you any photograph :D

Y use this techiques, it's in spanish!

Halo,

first I will thank u very much for the link, you gave me. I´m making the spheres quite similar to this. And don´t worry. My English ist also not so good. But I understood you very well, what you mean.

Here are some pics of my progress of the Rocket Launch System. They are quite to long so you have to shorten them (pic 1). Also the holes in the pipes for the rocket are to small. So I have to extend them (pic 3).

Hi there, bro!

Nice to see some progress here! Good work with the coloring!

When you roll tubes, you can use some pen or I personally like little brushes (I know you have plenty of them! ) to roll the paper starting from a big one and finishing with a very tiny one. That way I avoid the roll to look like dented in the end.

but keep up the good work there!

Looking forward to seeing more!

Rgds,
Bro

Those rockets were a pain. I ended up using q-tip (ear swab) tubes cut up so the were all straight and the same diameter. Great work!
