1:1 Cylon Helmet

Here's one pic of the Cylon. I used silver / chrome and black enamel to paint the underside of the neck and shoulder area and will be using copper wire to replace the cast tubes under the neck, that will hold the head in place, but will also allow it to be positioned.

Nice paint work. I've found it hard to get a mirror finish on mine.

Yeah, I know... What I found that works well is to hit all of the parts with primer, lightly sand with 600 grit wet / dry sand paper, hit it with a light coat of silver chrome, let cure for a few days and hit it with another coat... I took 7 pictures to get that one and that was the best. I really need to get some better shots.

Check out the electronics in the TOS thread. The very next circuit to be built will be the Cylon eye electronics.

Thanks, I think it looks like carp right now, but I can see where it's going. I've got the new jaws on and am now working on the back of the head and sculpting it to match the actual profile.
