Just goes to show that a lot of the myths are correct.

I love the armor!

I'd love to see a thread on an upscaled Gunship. Actually, that would make a great project!

I'd like to thank everyone for their help, technical advice, and support throughout this. There are seriously times I would have run out of steam if it hadn't been for y'all.

Thanks tons!

Thanks, a write up of it may well be in the works. Of course I really have to get my butt in gear on it. His birthday is in mid May.

I finished this project a long while ago, but never got around to posting pictures. Here's the finished project, which is one of my son's favorite toys.

DISCLAMIER: It's 99% paper and cardboard. There is some wood and plastic in the skeletal structure, some spray foam insulation in the legs, some clay in the feet for weight, and a few plastic parts in the arms. (So they could rotate vertically, and as greeblies on the laser cannon)

The cockpit does open, and a pilot DOES fit inside, because it was just too cool to not make it that way.

There are many more build-along pictures in my photobucket album as well:

I'd like to thank Blaar, and everyone else who donated time, screenshots, references, and advice. (And my son would too!)

Now he wants a Daishi...
