Front section of main body

Greetings to all and to all hello.

I have started on the main body now. Of course starting with the front section and working my way back.
Of course I have added a few glue tabs to curtain parts (please look closely at the photos to see which parts I added the glue tabs to.)

Here are the photos for your viewing pleasure.

When attaching the cockpit, take your time with it. There is not much room to work with.

There is a gap between the canopy and the cockpit, do to how the canopy was made. You can either make a new canopy, or leave it as I did.

As you can see, (by this component and other past phots) there are quite a few greebles. this whole model is a greeblers dream. So by all means have fun with it.

These last two photos show the front cannon system attached to the front section of the body.

ENJOY!!!

looking good. great hints about the 'extra' tabs

I built the ordinary marauder, but when doing the cockpit I cut out the 'glass' so it was just a frame. A little tricky but I think improves the look.

I attached a few greebles that I forgotten on the front section of the main body.

FOOD FOR THOUGHT WHEN BUILDING THIS MODEL. YOU DO NEED TO LOOK AHEAD AT THE INSTRUCTIONS AND SEE IF THERE ARE ANY PARTS THAT ARE ATTACHED LATER ON THAT YOU CAN ATTACH NOW.

Here are the photos.

Thank you for the compliment.

Can we see photos? (yes you can post them on this thread!)

It is time for another update.

As you can see, there even more greebles. The designer does like greebles.

This is what will hold the main turret in the plane.

Top of the tube that the main turret will be mounted on.

Swivel mounts for the guns.

Axle for the gun mounts. I extended the length to 27 mm. so it can hold the gun mounts properly.

Rhaven Blaack - great job so far on this review. I look forward to following your build. A suggestion - It would help tremendously if you tried as much as possible to point out where you added tabs rather than making people study the photos. Screen caps of the pattern showing the relevant pieces would be doubly awesome.

Thanks,

Steve

Gun turret assembly

I am continuing the Main turret section. Here is the gun turret assembly.
I did not have any problems with the assembly.

I had to make a spindle that would attach to the turret plate to make the gun turret swivel.
The dimensions of the spindle are 40mm long by 35mm wide (the 5mm part of the width is used for a glue tab.)

I have mated the main turret section with the main body.

Gun turret swivels without any problems.
Everything was straight forward. I did not have any problems with it.
