These look great. I love the bridge designs. I'm also getting into large models. I got laid off last May and I've been building a lot lately. I've made friends with a couple that run one of the local sign shops and I'm building a Cannon American Eagle at 2X size. I'd love to build some star ships large size.

A good Sovereign class model would always be welcome. On 11x17 you could probably pull off a 1:1000 model which would be what, 68cm (~27in) long? And on letter page, it'd still be around 1:1700 (common Trek fleet size) which would be 40cm (~16in) long.

Do it!

TNG = The Next Generation, as in Star Trek: The Next Generation which was the second series in the franchise.

You'll see these abbreviations for the various Star Trek series:

TOS: The Original Series - USS Enterprise NCC-1701
TMP: The Motion Picture(s) - USS Enterprise NCC-1701 (refit) and NCC-1701-A
TNG: The Next Generation - USS Enterprise NCC-1701-D
DS9: Deep Space Nine
VOY: Voyager
ENT: Enterprise - Enterpise NX-01

27-28" sounds like something I could get into. Thanks for your input and thanks to everyone else. This is essentially the Nemesis. I matched the textures up to the ones I have from Foundation Imaging, from the actual filming model and they are real close. There is one thing though, due to the limitations of Pepakura, there will be some aliasing. Without the actual vector graphics, there's nothing I can do about that. The textures themselves are 2048 X 2048, but Pep auto scales them to 1024 X 1024 and at the size we are talking about, there are going to be some aliasing issues, especially on compound curves. I've included one of the textures as an example. Unfortunately, Pep doesn't handle the original targa files very well.

Enterprise E + Bridge

I worked on this a bit more last night and even started a new Bridge to go with it. I can see that both of these are going to have to be built by me, so that I can do the directions and no one will complain that they can't build it.... When people say that they can't build a model that I put out, that just blows my mind. I've always thought that if *you* can't build something, that's directly related to your level of skill and not so much reflective of the model, or thing in question. When I sent the 350th TOS Enterprise to a friend and he said "I can't build this" I was shocked, he seemed to be a pretty fair modeler up to that point. I've built mine and stripped it down twice and am in the third iteration of the same, prototype..... So, I can't understand the concept that "Your models are unbuildable." At any rate, below are a couple of progress photos of the E and the bridge. I've got a pretty cool backdrop and stand idea for both, but I'll leave that alone for now.

Starbase Ver2.0+

While I was working on a couple of the TNG models, I ran across this Starbase that I hadn't finished and took a little time to wrap this up. I should have this ready for upload soon, hope to have a couple of the others done as well. This starbase has a complete interior. I think this is one of the best looking ones out there, but I do have one other, though I never released it as a pdo, or pdf.
