Thunderbolt TDR-55

With the new Mechwarrior Online game, getting closer and closer to release, the forums over at MWO is buzzing with anticipation, and every one is eating / sleeping / waiting / wanting mechs.

I initially joined up to reserve my nick when the game is finally out, but once I joined the forums I saw they had a Art sub forum.

I was amazed at the works of art the members are putting out there , mostly mech related. Some members shared their works of art, and there was even models from years back. It was great seeing how the 3D industry and game industry evolved.

It was also the place where I came across Scarecrovv who is a great artist and designer of models. Take a look at his StartWars and Axman topics here.

Moving on. another member HanaYuriko aka Lizzy "Lady Die" G (deviant art page) share some mech models.

I really love the classic look and it is something fresh for me not working on MW4 / Mektek mechs.

I intend to clean up all the models and bring them to our paper community to build them as paper models.

So first up is the Thunderbolt TDR - 55.

There are actually a few variants of this, and I am contemplating if I should make all the variants since only the arms / LRM / SRM change with each variant but for now I will focus on the TDR-55 variant.

After the Thunderbolt I most probably work on the re-seen Locust

Not having time, nor ink to beta build the Thunderbolt, I decided to upload it anyway.

I included several variants of the Thunderbolt in the PDO, please check which variant you want to build, and print the appropriate pages.

No worries.

With the help from monkeyrum over at MechWar3.org, he came up with the most excellent skin.

Can't wait to start building this.
